Insomnia Treatment (2) : QUIT SMOKING

Smoking cigaratte is similar to drinking coffee or energy drinks. While coffee and energy drinks contain high content of caffeine, cigarate contains high amount of nicotine, which usually stimulates and arouses your nervous system. Therefore, there's no doubt that many peolple who have trouble falling asleep (insomnia) are smokers.

According to my quick research on the internet, nicotine inside your cigarates can affect your good night sleep in various ways. Firstly, Nicotine can lead you to high blood pressure and increase in heart rate which can affect your sleep. Moreover, Nicotine is an addictive drug which can cause you to unexpectedly wake up in the middle of night.


I know that it's not easy for some of you who are smokers to suddenly quit smoking becuase it's always difficult for human to stop any type of habit. However, there are many stop-smoking programs these days provided for the smoker who expect to quit, I believe that you would be able find one of these programs easily in your city.

I don't know how much time you will need to spend in the program before you can completely quit because I'm a non-smoker. You might start with a nicotine patch or nicotine gum if you haven't got time to attend any program at the moment.
